Silvretta Circuit

240 KM / A, CH

We take it easy as we roll out of the Vivaldi and into the well-known Paznau Valley. A little bit later it has cast its spell on us - the Silvretta High Alpine Road, also known as the 34 switchbacks to biker's happiness. It's over 20 kilometers long and reaches the Bieler pass summit at 2,032 meters in elevation.

With a view of Vorarlberg's highest mountain, the Piz Buin, the road winds back down towards Bludenz. The midiavel streets invite us for a quick stroll before the Faschina saddle and the Hochtann mountain once again give us that good mountain feeling. With the fascination Lechtaler mountains in sight, its time to rumble comfortably down the road. It's more like the calm before the storm though because the Hahntenn pass provides us with a true Tyrolean delight that stretches over many kilometers of tasty curves and plenty of natural beauty. But before we head back to the lake, Jan pulls another ace from his sleeve and amazes his touring companions with the views and experience of a hidden road over the Tobadill.
