DOLOMITES TOUR WITH BIKER HOST KARL

Fuel in the Veins

Blasting Corners with Karl

From Deep Valleys to High Passes

The route first leads through Deutschnofen and Altrei into the picturesque Cembra Valley. Serpentine roads wind their way uphill, engines humming as the landscape glides past. At the Passo Bedollo, riders are rewarded with a stunning view of the shimmering Lake Serraia. Karl likes to take a break here — nothing beats a scenic stop with a refreshing ice cream.

Recharged, the group continues towards Levico and Telve. But before tackling the narrow and thrilling Manghen Pass, there’s a detour to Rifugio Crucolo on the agenda. This rustic mountain inn is one of Karl’s insider tips. Here, bikers enjoy hearty snacks with homemade specialties — including the region’s longest salami and tangy mountain cheese. As a special treat, Karl offers a private tour of the cellar, where these local delicacies are aged to perfection.

Twisty Challenge

Back on the bikes, the route leads over the Manghen Pass. Tight hairpin turns — occasionally shared with local cows — demand full concentration. But the riding fun is immense, and the breathtaking views more than make up for the effort. The final stretch takes the group over the home pass, Lavazè, before returning to Hotel Mondschein.

Relaxation & Culinary Delights at Mondschein

Upon returning to the Mondschein, the bikers are greeted with a cold beer, served with a charming smile by barista Christian. For those still hungry after the ride, the homemade apple strudel is a must — rumor has it, it’s unbeatable!

For the connoisseurs among the bikers, the new wellness area is the perfect retreat after the tour. Here, guests can swim a few laps in the pool or unwind in the saunas, relaxing their muscles. Others prefer to stay on the sun terrace, exchanging stories about the ride while enjoying the company of fellow bikers.

At Mondschein, motorcyclists experience the Dolomites to the fullest. The combination of breathtaking landscapes, winding roads, culinary pleasures, and warm hospitality makes every stay an unforgettable experience.
